about

Todd Clouser, to the point guitar poet and serial collaborator, releases a lone track with two Mexico City post-genre scene artists, vocalist Silvana Estrada and drummer Jorge Servin. “My Vicious Heart” is a curiously bass-free psych rock song that finds Clouser’s character lamenting his ruthless ways, though attributing them to what came before- “16 days since you cut me good/your easy sin is my wicked blood/my vicious heart has you to blame” sings Clouser over blues grit guitars and Servin’s scattered, heavy, drum attack. Touches of golden age southeast Asian psych, blues, and the from the heart folk soar of Silvana Estrada’s voice over Servin’s make the “My Vicious Heart” collaboration memorable amongst Clouser’s recent offerings.
